Project Overview

This project started after an accident with an electric scooter broke my rear light mount. I designed a custom holder for the OMERIL LD320 Rear Light.

Back Light Mount

The first version was designed on 22 Oct 2025 to replace the broken back-light attachment.

Reference Light

The specific light my mount was designed for.

For attachment, I recommend metal cables twisted tight with a metal ring support to prevent movement. You can also use zip ties, since the small holes allow them to pass through securely.

Front Light Adapter

After fixing a different bike with my father, I wanted a mount that lets me detach and reattach the same front light I already had on the bike above, so I could switch it between bikes. The updated model was finished on 7 Feb 2026, following the same structure as the back-light mount.

My first front-light design is also available to download. It was my first attempt at a slide-in fit, but I decided to keep the final version showcased here because I wanted a curved shape and a lock mechanism to keep it in place.

STL downloads: Back light mount, front light design 1, and front light final (available in a single ZIP).

Design & Compatibility

The rear mount uses a 17x17 mm square attachment sized for my light. The front light uses a slide mechanism with a rail path of 50 mm length, 14.8 mm width, and 5.1 mm height. For other lights, the STL needs to be adjusted to your desired rail size (in slicers like Bambu Studio or PrusaSlicer).
